I know is sounds selfish but this was an honest answer I was looking for.
As I told my wife, if it was an immediate member of the family there would be no questions asked. Probably even extended but a friend in the ward is pushing it.
I'm a pretty charitable person, which I think shows in the fact I'm even considering it but I question if I'm pushing my own common sense. Too many potential issues to risk as a young family man.

Yeah I don't think I'd seriously consider it if I were in your shoes. I'm not altruistic enough to take that risk

I read somewhere that death isn’t usually an issue, but an increased risk of kidney disease... like 3% of donors
