So youd rather give up 2 to 3 P5 games a year for a chance to play 1 at the end of the year. Keep in mind BYU never
capitalized on that when they were in the G5. You mention meaning to games but i ask how much meaning is there in a trophy for beating Fresno, Wyoming, New Mexico and CSU in a season? (I realize all the wac title defenders are gonna come out of the woodwork on that one)
Keep in mind historically BYU was beat up the little sisters of the poor and maybe, huge emphasis on maybe, win the holiday bowl vs a big boy team. Then you sprinkled in a few cool wins like against Miami.
