loaded. There is a reason why were are picked to go 5-7. We just don't have the depth of a P5 program, so as has happened every year we will be ground down and depleted by injury early and half of those P5 games will be particularly painful to even watch. It's been the story from the beginning. We will then face USU depleted and struggle, and then win most of our cupcake games.
There is a reason that BYU, Boise, Utah, TCU maximized a G5 schedule into undefeated or huge end of season bowl games. 2-3 P5's, and G5 conference schedule with a few decent match ups. Those seasons are what vaulted all of those programs brands into what they are today.
BYU as an indy is worse off than even the P5's, simply for the front loaded scheduling.
The point is, on paper the P5 games sound fun, but all too often they end up very painful to watch like Wisconsin at home or LSU on the road, or Michigan, etc....
We will never have the depth to make it work.
