but I don't think you can measure the talent of a team/class just by the recruiting service ranking and/or P5 offers received. Talent can be accumulated through transfers and players that were under the radar that the recruiting services overlooked.

As an example, look at Brady Christensen. Offered late by the previous coaching staff committed to Air Force. He was a multi-sport athlete, but needed to add 60+ pounds to his frame. It turns out that he was way better than his ranking and is likely a 4 year starter at left tackle. The recruiting ranking for him was super low and dragged the average class ranking down.

I also think Sitake is doing a better job than Bronco at pulling scholarships from players who end up being duds. He gives their scholies to preferred walk ons who dramatically out perform their status like Payton Wilgar, Dax Milne, Jake Oldroyd, etc. The roster balance is also much better than in the past. I don't see the same disparity in talent until you get towards the deep end of the bench.
