but seriously I don't think blame games are very productive. but Do I think the exes were directly responsible for a lot of the wrath that fell on BYU and Nick Emery? yes I do. All of it? Of course not. You have lots of people involved: Nick or the Trib or the booster, the NCAA or whoever else could have put a stop to their piece of the action and they chose not to.

but do the exes deserve to be hauled out and accused of 100% blame by media figures? Sure, that can be someone else's opinions and worthy of a debate. What they did was insidious, premediated and you could argue that without their involvement, there are no infractions. It was one of several weapons they deployed to hurt Nick Emery as much as possible and their short-sighted actions ended up hurting an entire basketball team, fan base and coaches that had nothing to do with it. Nick committed the crime, and boy did they make sure he paid for it.
