The biggest difference is Lavell hired experienced assistants.
Lavell hired experienced assistants to do the actual coaching.
Kalani, instead, has hired friends like Roderick (fired at Utah), Tuiaki, or inexperienced guys like Detmer and Grimes (both first time OCs). Our strength coach is also a "buddy" hire. Same with director of recruiting.
