These are the stats for Utah (2017) regarding distracted driving.
The following is data from the Utah Public Safety Dept. for fatal crashes in 2017.
Distracted drivers:
18 crashes, 7.3% of all fatal crashes
21 fatalities, 7.7% of all fatalities
Impaired drivers:
26 crashes, 10.6% of all fatal crashes
31 fatalities, 11.4% of all fatalities
