He grew up in a rich household with both parents as successful attorneys themselves. He was a straight A student in high school but never held a job until he became a TA for professor at BYU part time. His parents felt that if he focused solely on his grades and education, that if he followed the attorney path, he could get into a top tier law school and the rest would take care of itself.
I was worried when my sister was engaged to him that he had virtually no work experience but was obviously an excellent student. Long story short, he went to U Chicago Law School and might someday pay more in taxes in a year than I will make in salary.
