THIS
my parents helped support multiple of my siblings so they could focus on their grades and get into dental school etc. For me it was similar but I dealt with health issues and took breaks from school to work. And ultimately decided to work straight out of undergrad.

It’s what my grandpa did for my dad. And my dad paid it forward.

Had my siblings not studied or done well in school my parents would have pulled that support.

I plan to do the same with my kids, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to support it. If it helps them to get better grades and get into a post grad so kick start a good career than I’m all for it.

I value hard work ethic etc as well. But working in high school, a mission, and studying hard in college can bring that too.

It was hard when other people put me or my siblings down/ judged us when they found out our parents were paying for our education.
