yeah those statements by her aren’t helping the point

Because I know families who aren’t rich, but stretched their finances to support kids through college because they believed it would give their kids an advantage.

I don’t think one way or another is better. Both seem to be good options for different people

I learned a trade at BYU. I highly recommend that. You can sign up for any of the shops at BYU physical facilities
