I’m wondering if those who have help paying for school
Also come from higher income families and stronger support networks and fewer health and other personal challenges. There’s probably some correlation there.

My wife paid her own way and it built self reliance in her. The downside is it slowed her schooling and by the time we married, she did not have more than a bachelors. Which means going back to work is going to be tough to find something higher paying if that’s what happens. It’s interesting to see the pros and cons of different approaches and the gray area of this discussion.
