Maybe you aren't. I'm too lazy to go check your posting history. But there have been plenty using the argument
"trust the experts" even though there are plenty of experts that disagree on the models and numbers and data.
You say you're not appealing to authority and you're looking at the numbers and data but really what you're saying is trust the experts numbers and data even though it's all just projection and modeling and there are several other experts that disagree.
