In other ways it's not

The CDC groups coronavirus separately from the flu because they have different treatments.

As reasons for death in New York, coronavirus exceeds the flu and car accidents by many multiples and will only get worse.

The problem with comparing it to the flu, is that it has been mistakenly shown as having a smaller impact than the flu.
