I'm perfectly fine following the guidance of the prophet. It's what I do. I highly recommend it. And I agree he is the Lord's spokesman on earth. The problem is when we say, "The prophet said this because . . ." And then what follows the "because" is our own interpretation.

We can make a determination about what follows "because" for ourselves and those under our stewardship. But not anyone else. Furthermore, people filling in the space after "because" and doing it wrong has led to a lot of lost testimonies over the years.
