That alone would adjust the curve calculation. The main issue right now is not to overwhelm ERs and ICUs at hospitals. Help them so that they can handle a heavier load.

Still work to flatten the curve. Continue hygiene recommendations indefinitely and continue social distancing and discourage large gatherings for a time. Increase business regulations regarding health and sanitation, especially in healthcare and food service and sports and entertainment business that have large gatherings, but don't shut non-essential business down, including non-essential healthcare. Encourage work-from-home and remote meetings where possible. Encourage more drastic social distancing/self-isolation for those most at risk.  

That's the sweet spot. Still treat the pandemic with seriousness and respect, but focus on increased healthcare capacity and reasonable public health measures. Don't completely destroy employment and small business for many and move down the path to obliterate the economy.
