4 big problems he's gotta overcome before he can bcm an effective player that has a shot of dominating D1 ball offensively:
1. Hands.
2. Physicality.
3. Balance.
4. Keeping lower to the ground (ie bending his knees more--getting his weight forward & ready). This would help his balance a lot - among other things. The kid & his fam apparently want him to be a wing — & if he wants an NBA future he sure should see that in himself — unfortunately, his basic in-game posture is totally wrong for that. And his lack of skills for wing is another issue entirely.
All four of those are pretty big challenges for a coach to teach an 20 yr old kid in four year's time. Skill-wise, he obviously needs to substantially improve his ball-handling skills & somehow develop a pull-up game which is non-existent as far as I can see.
However you cut it, though, this kid's length, explosiveness & quickness for a 6'9 frame is off the charts. He's a high end D1 athlete by ANY standard out there.
