That version of CB would be even worse.
People are willing to share their candid, honest views precisely because of the anonymity. This is not to say people aren’t willing to stand behind their views, just that they aren’t willing to make themselves vulnerable to every wacko who may not like their posts.
I agree that the lack of anonymity would make the board more civil, but it would also make it less interesting.
