I believe your son is out. However, my son was once hosed on a call at first and I went over the video like the zapruder
film and purchased the official rule book and did a solid 3 hours of research just to prove to myself the wrong call was made. I was correct but now it makes me even more mad when I remember it.
The call was 100% incorrect and it would of been the last out of a game that bounced us from a tournament.

You can tag a player out standing on a bag if they are not safe on the bag. They could tag the runner standing on first
