This is from the Daily Herald:


“Broadcast revenue is tricky to gage but the report indicated it was 6%, or $4.3 million. How that changes this year is anybody’s guess.”

Written in August. Is that the right number? Likely not; I’m guessing BYU’s next contract will bring its TV revenue more in line with the $7-8M that the AAC is bringing in.

However, there are other revenue sources that would come from being in the AAC that we currently miss out on (bowl distributions, NCAA distributions for March Madness).

At the very least the evidence shows that the financial situation would be similar, if not that the AAC would actually be more lucrative.
