As a member of the right I realize that two wrongs don’t make a right.
I’ve been to as many Republican conventions in the last decade as almost anyone so I’m no stranger to politics. I know full well what the left has done and continues to do. I don’t neglect or ignore it. Today, right now, after the Capitol, we have to look at ourselves.

I recognize that right isn’t always right. Once we get out of our tribalism we can cure the ills of our party. If we continue to use the “they started it” or “they did it first” or “they were mean” or “but abortion” to justify the actions of our side of the aisle we end up with the US flag being lowered to instead fly the flag of a MAN over the Capitol of the nation we love.

I joined this party because they stood for principles. Principles that have been discarded and abandoned of late because we want to get ours and will support anyone who will get us ours.

If we are the party of Christian values then we need to act on those values and do the right thing. Not the right thing.
