Ah, the old "white house, black trim" look..
I live in the Foothill area and I can name about 12-15 houses that have done this in the past year.
I love our area; we live right on the East and Highland boundaries (I went to East). I just wished I had another 800-1000 sq ft. (We're in 2,400 now). There are definitely some cultural issues in our area, though. I think you find that anywhere along the wasatch front. I grew up near Willow Creek until I was 13. Talk about "keeping up wit the Joneses".
