out in the country where we had no neighbors and raised a small herd of sheep each summer. My dad refused to own any guns and so our german shepherd/wolf hybrid was the only thing protecting the sheep from coyotes and strays. It did this very well until it got leukemia and we had to have it put down. The very next summer the herd was attacked by a pack of coyotes, killing one and hurting a couple of others. My dad stilled refused to get a gun, so that was the last year we raised sheep.

All that being said, knowing what I know today, despite how much I loved that dog, I would never get a wolf hybrid for my family as a family dog...and I still think that pit bulls are worse.
