As a football recruit, that's particularly rough, but there's such a gap and dislike there between football and non-football players that I think it's part of what makes it hard for cadets to root for that team or to be particularly invested. It's a rare case where I think fandom actually increases after they finish at the college, instead of peaking while they're a student there. Not necessarily a topic for this board, but definitely something that needs some work over there.
