Agree. My dad's decision about terminal illness was a real blessing
He had a terminal illness and died 20 years ago when he was 63. After diagnosis, he and mom set up a living will with a 'no heroic measures' order. Went fairly quickly about 6 months after taking disability retirement. He could have lingered for many years and destroyed the family finances and suffered a lot with little quality of life.
It was hard to let him go. But we were grateful for his courage in the situation.
