We build buildings to support people in wheelchairs and learn it benefits all.
It's the same here. The countries with the best biking infrastructure, surprisingly, are found in research to be the most enjoyable places to drive too.

What bugs you as a driver?
- Traffic? Great, let's move a % to other transit and get them off the road.
- Cyclists in your lane? Great, let's get them on off-street bike paths
- too slow of streets? Great, let's create car corridors with higher speeds
- Too much speeding in your neighborhood? Great, let's create lower speed pedestrian-focused roads separate from the car corridors (right now, too many streets try to be both fast streets and pedestrian streets and that brings conflict. Other countries have figured out better designs).

Etc. Building good biking/alternative transit really does benefit everyone.
