Squally was very serviceable as a starter and an outstanding talent to have as backup. Brown was also quite the talent (a former starter, and 2015's leading rusher, someone good enough to sign as a UFA). I wouldn't put Katoa ahead of either of those two.
When I look at the 2021 list, I see a lot of unproven underclassmen. This is the same conversation we have every year about a particularly young group (last year it was the WRs). I think it's possible that the 2021 RB room might end up having some great players, but at this point the only thing that can be said for the group is that it has a lot of young bodies (which, considering CFB's current scholarship crunch, might not actually be a good thing).
