The 2016 team had Jamaal, a solid back up in Squally, and then a converted to fullback player who ended up with 2.7 yards per carry. That team would have been in massive trouble without Squally and Jamaal.
The 2021 team has multiple players who have the measurables to be high level starters. McChesney and Davis in particular are exciting playmakers. Katoa is an excellent and versatile backup. Finau has also shown glimpses of being able to be a good starter. The coaches are also very high on Ropati.
The hype was warranted about the 2020 WR group. That was the best group in years.
