And the other would target new mothers to come hold their babies only then to fake a migraine and explain they can’t get in to see their doctor till the weekend is over and people give them their leftover pain meds. My parents have good friends that kept thinking a son in law was taking their meds when they were gone so they set up a hidden camera in their bedroom to try and catch whoever was sneaking in to take their meds for chronic back pain. They discovered it was their neighbor, the high priest group leader at the time, sneaking into their home. My parents then inquired of their friends why they needed so many pain meds like this that they would have this happen to them, and it opened up another can of worms. This stuff is so addictive it’s crazy, yet it doesn’t even phase me or others so I think a lot of us don’t understand the draw.
