Stealing is immoral. Therefore taxes are immoral. And we should get rid of them
all. It’s the right thing to do.
Im just following your logic here. But how do you think this would possibly end in anything besides anarchy?
Your mistake is thinking the state is the same as an individual. The constitution grants the government to raise money through taxes. It explicitly allows for taxation. That’s the difference. It’s the written law of the land. And overwhelmingly supported.
That’s why I’m not “lying to myself” over taxes. I can simply point to the constitution which gives the power of the state to tax. What is considered “stealing” is different for everyone I guess. But there are no serious thinkers that would define taxation as straight up thievery. Please source for me anyone arguing this. The only ones I can find are anarchists.
