It seems to make a big difference. I'm not sure if the the particular elements of the "program" make much difference, but the consistent, caring participation is huge.

Having said all that, the mental health issues are real and all of our efforts didn't make them go away with our kids. Some issues were late in manifesting and only emerged in young adulthood. They'll be significantly impacted their whole lives and we remain their partners in a life long struggle.
