Utes learning a lesson in humility? Embarrassed for their behavior?

Over the last week I’ve had several people mention to me how surprised they were that BYU fans weren’t harassing Ute fans after finally winning. Multiple comments from neutral parties explaining that from their neutral perspective Utah fans have been terrible to BYU fans since 2009 and that they were almost disappointed in the lack of vitriol going back the other way. I explained that in my experience we’ve never been that way to them. I think many, if not most, BYU fans actually used to cheer for Utah when they played other teams. Many BYU fans hoped that if BYU ever got a P5 invite that Utah would also be invited to join. I used to feel that way but that has all gone away. Now I want Utah to lose every game and I want their conference to fall apart. But I will never be as disrespectful as they have been over the last several years.

However, I've also noticed that Utah fans have caught the message.  They've noticed how we've reacted to the win and how we handled the Noall situation and they seem to almost be embarrassed at their own recent behavior.

Just wondering if anyone else feels the same.
