Stop it. Absolutely not true. And nobody will miss quick pitch gimmicks or guys
who stare at the catcher for 10 seconds daring the guy to call timeout.
The one reasonable criticism is that it will give base stealers a jump since they know when the pitch will be thrown with much more certainty. You might also see more pickoff moves at the 15-second mark. But I think both can be dealt with.
Baseball games are getting longer. At what point would you say change is needed? Or are you willing to watch 5 hour games and pretend this is the way it’s supposed to be?
