Baseball is trying all kinds of different ways to improve play in the minors. The pitch clock has been improving areas beyond pace of play. It give 15 seconds to pitch the ball (17 with runners on base), and the batter has 8 seconds to be in the box.

Runs have gone up, batting average has gone up, lugging has gone up, base on balls has gone down, and hit by pitch has gone down, all good things for the game.
