My MIL will often find deals on gift cards to restaurants. When it comes time to using them, there will usually be a few
dollars left over on the bill after the gift cards are applied. She only tips on the amount she pays after the gift cards are applied. We have tried to talk her out of this, but she insists that is the only part of the bill she needs to tip on. We usually just drop some cash on the table when we leave as the tip.
