My brother-in-law says the same thing because they have to haul in their water.
He lives outside a small town in Alberta. I always thought it was silly because anybody could save money on their water bill by doing that, regardless of whether they have to haul in their own water. They only have one bathroom for them and their 4 kids. I can't imagine it saves him that many trips a year, but we always honor their wishes when we go up to the Great White North.
