Any coach? Of course not. Was Bronco the only coach who could have had success?
Impossible to say. But the idea that there weren’t other coaches who would have loved a shot at turning around the program seems a little bit silly to me.
There were disadvantages but also inherent advantages at BYU for turning the program around.
At the end of the day, Bronco was successful so he earned CB’s praise. Whether he’s over or under appreciated depends on the CBer, but I’d say overall CB is right on. Glad Bronco turned things around and glad we’ve moved on.
