His draft pick was low because he made his intentions known. Sort of like how
Eli Herring wasn’t drafted until the sixth round in the NFL draft when he would have been a first round pick if he hadn’t told teams he wasn’t going to play in the NFL because of how he wanted to observe the Sabbath.
