While agree with you in general, the ridiculous increase in 2 main things, cost of housing and healthcare, has caused

The most problems, even for a modest 3 bed 2 Ba home. But I would agree that way too many of the most recent generations expect to live the lives their parents were/are living immediately rather than having to start modestly and build to that.

So as parents, it’s up to us to teach that reality to our children.
