I agree with this sentiment. My generation was told "follow your passion

And you'll never work a day in your life."

They should have been told:

"make sacrifices and figure out how to make a lot of money, or you won't get the privilege of living in Salt lake City."

Because that's the way reality works. Prepare your kids for reality
