Just checked tripadvisor and almost all recommendations are to do the
Navajo loop clockwise, I've done it both ways and liked counterclockwise much better. Going down the steep switchbacks is more impressive than going up IMO. Also, the drive from Bryce to Escalante and on through Boulder is one of the undiscovered gems in Utah. Calf Creek Falls is a really cool (but longer) hike right outside of Boulder.

Eat at the Pines too (homemade comfort food) and NOT at Ruby's Inn (horrible #10 can school lunch food).
