realignment in the replies. Can’t say whether or not adding Arizona/Arizona St would be an all around net positive for the Big 12 as apposed to staying put as is, but I don’t see a legit argument against them and love the idea of adding them. Especially for BYU’s sake.

Having a couple more teams out west seems like it’d have a positive outcome for BYU and the Big 12. The Phoenix market cares more about sports than some like to admit, and the massive LDS population would only benefit BYU. U of A probably has a more passionate fan base across all sports than ASU, and yes attendance suffers when they’re bad, but that’s the case with 99% of schools.

I know they’re heavily tied and invested into the Cali market, but with USC/UCLA leaving that might change things.

Personal preference as the Wildcats are my #2 team, but I’d take the AZ schools over the NW schools for a number of reasons. Would love the Big 12 to invite them and see what else unfolds
