Houston has nearly 7 million people in the metro, twice the population of the entire state of Utah. There are so many HS football players in that metro a bunch of them will want to stay home and play in front of their families and by default they will get talent.
Yeah, they've been a G5 team for almost 30 years, but so was TCU for awhile, and look what they've done over the past decade.
To simply dismiss them as "terrible and always will be" being in the heart of Texas football country, is ridiculous.
