Markets you get a share based on those who watch. It's why the SEC wanted Texas A&M a while back. The SEC shares those markets with the big12 and ACC and we would have to dig further to see how much of that is shared by conference, but if the pac10 were to get SDSU and SMU then they would share DFW and San Diego which is the #5 and #21 TV markets. It would be a smaller share, but a good salesman could sell it to TV networks, which is why Yormark said he was a "good salesman" when asked how he got that TV deal for the big12

It’s not obvious. And there’s no data that says that it makes any real difference in college football.
