Shares 5 of the top 10 TV markets. Nobody said fanbase weren't important, but you have to have a market in or near your expansion team that shows they can support a potential P5 team. There are certain exceptions, but for the most part TV markets will show where potential teams will come from and when you are negotiating your TV contract it's nice to have TV markets ammo on your side. Boise isn't in a large market and the closest large market to Boise is Spokane at #66. Why gamble on expansion with a team that doesn't give you the potential for big numbers?
