Many are pointing to what Utah did against USC in 21 and 22
But, I don't really get that...

Utah was middle to upper middle against USC in those years.

In 2021,
Utah had the 4th best Passing game and 3rd best total yard game against USC.
UCLA, Arizona and San Jose State did better passing against USC
UCLA and Oregon State did better total yards.

In 2022, USC and Utah played twice.
In the regular season, Utah did great, and in the champ game, they were back to being 4th or so.
Again, teams like Cal, Arizona and Notre Dame all did better than Utah against USC.

Now, I don't quite get why the USC game is always the comparison. I guess what they are saying is "LOOK at Utah's best Offensive Games in 21 and 22, (which were all against USC), and assume they will look that good against all of the BigXII." But what's weird is, USC is weird comparison, since USC's defense was not that good. MANY teams did better than the Yewts against USC. So why is their offensive output against USC the comparison point? I don't get that.
