I got off a metro once in Strasbourg. It was at the government center. It's a really nicely landscaped part of the city. The buildings are beautiful. Immediately in front of the opening doors of the metro was a man squatting against a tree doing his business on the lawn.
They really should rethink having NO free public toilets. It's like assuming that if you don't have any trash cans you won't have to collect the garbage and people won't litter.
