More like ignorance of culture and experience. Not sure I can think
of one place I have visited anywhere and not come away with a greater sense of history, perspective, beauty, culture, etc. Wouldn't consider using "disappointed" in any case.
I think we just have a lot of half glass full thinkers. "See the good in life" is absent with some of these people. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I always am.
I don't enjoy traveling very much, but it isn't because of disappointment of nothing worthwhile seeing. Of course I am married to the Tour Guide from Hades, so maybe that is my difference?
