He is a non member and this is his response to me questioning him about the behavior in the Smith Fieldhouse.
First of all, he would have loved to have 6,000 fans going crazy at his home matches. They would be lucky to get the kind of turnout we had in high school, which was a few hundred friends and family members of the team.
Regarding the behavior, he told me: "it was pretty intense, actually. Non stop, relentless. Not disrespectful, but not all in good fun though. BYU was the worst fan behavior, then Stanford. Hawaii was the nicest by far."
So, there is some merit to the fact that this isn't perceived as all in good fun and just plain sportsmanship, but at the same time he didn't feel like it was disrespectful.
I personally think the cinderella and ron weasley thing is funny. The making fun of the nose may be a little overboard.
