SoCal =/= BYU
There are at least two things that you fail to realize. This is BYU. This is not SoCal. Although volleyball is volleyball, that does not change the fact that BYU holds to a higher standard, and even though you supposedly knew this person beforehand and communicated with him, a vast majority of fans that saw what you did did not know that. This therefore creates a precedent for future cases of personal attacks on players.

Also, you fail to realize and/or acknowledge what my original post mentioned, which is, that involved fans are what I love. Heckling =/= personal attacks. It never will. To The Show of SDSU, perhaps it does. There are at least a thousand ways to heckle opposing players without personal attacks.

At this point, it is an opinion against an opinion. But in the context of BYU and who and what BYU represents to such a widespread population (the LDS church), these things are unbecoming of what we wish to convey to the world (see Bronco's mission of BYU sports).

Also, why do you think we pray before games? It is not just out of habit. There are reasons behind it, and personal attacks following prayers wishing good sportsmanship, good-will towards opponents, and their safe-travels, is uncalled for.

PS, you tried to defend #1 of my original post, but what about 2-4?
