Certainly not a 50M olympic/moving bulkhead pool but it's marginally better. Both teams can practice simultaneously and be divided by the bulkhead. I don't believe they can do that currently, now they can.
-The new depth makes the pool faster since there is less reverberation and might be better for the university with scuba classes etc. I think they'll eventually build a larger facility elsewhere.
The separate pool can't be used anyways by the teams as it is too hot for competitive lap swimming. It's better for elderly water aerobics and college classes.
You could also swim 25M shortcourse competitions which is better than nothing.
Still though, they need something more like the University of Minnesota type natatorium. It looks like the IPF from the exterior. Pretty amazing facility.
